Several cases of divorce leading to broken homes and broken individuals have become a societal trend. Ironically, the children bear a larger percentage of the brunt. Domestic violence from either of the spouse is also on the increase just because the couple involved started on a wrong footing. If the foundation is destroyed, what can the righteous do?
We are also surrounded by singles who do not really have a bearing on the best type of relationship to go into. Interestingly, many television and movie-stars whom these young ones look up to have nothing inspirational to model about marriage. They enter in relationships which they always pray will lead to marriage. Sadly, the reverse is always the case because marriage is not a “2-minute instant noodle”. There is a price for a good marriage. Love is the cost for a good marriage and we all know that “Love makes the world go round”.
This popular saying sounds simple, yet profound. Which ingredient of love then must be responsible for this? From the family angle, sharing love between willing couples can really make the world a better place. One of the ingredients’ that is solely responsible for this is deep intimacy, trust, commitment, sacrifice, selfless efforts and good communication. We do not have marriage problems because marriage came from God rather, what we have are human management problems because human beings differ. Understand and accepting each others’ differences with a sense of maturity, without threats or probation is one of the deep qualities for a good marriage. Also, being able to handle faulty conceptualisations in a matured way is a good mindset for building a good home.
It is in this light that Couples Alive Forum International (CAFI) has carved a niche to delve into the world of selfless sacrificial bonding in marriages and teaching singles the right path to toe before marriage. In CAFI we share our thoughts about how couples can preserve their marriages, making it solid-bound and still be romantic and hot. This forum has also birthed a non-governmental organization called Couples Academy Forum.
This social and medical NGO is also aimed at assisting individuals who cannot afford to buy drugs on sexual health-related issues, as well as binding marriages. More so, with the aid of journals, CDs, books and write-ups, couples, singles and the public would have the opportunity at an almost free fee to partake in the assistance of our organization.
